Wandering Bud Ceramic Smokeware on tabletop with flowers

WANDERING BUD

is a female-founded, women-driven ceramic design studio that produces stunning smokeware for the home.

Made by hand by a small team of artists in Kansas City, Missouri, our expressive, distinctive pieces are created to fit right in with your decor.

With hits smoother than glass and finishes that make clean-up a breeze, you'll want to keep these out to admire all day.

RILEY BRAIN WAS TIRED

of looking at bro-ey bongs and unsightly steamrollers. Over the years, she and her husband had acquired a disheartening quantity of boring bubblers and impossible-to-clean chillums.

When she came up empty-handed after a search for a prettier piece, Riley took matters into her own hands.

Working overtime from her basement, Riley launched one of the first aesthetically-driven, high-end smokeware brands to hit what is now a booming market.

EIGHT YEARS LATER

Riley's business has grown to include a passionate team of creators and makers and an incredibly engaged community of fellow Wanderers.

With sculptural forms, ergonomic features, vibrant glazes, and hand-painted detailing, Wandering Bud is internationally recognized for their limited edition collections and artists collaborations.

Our Commitment

Social Justice

At Wandering Bud, we strive to bring beauty and intention to your ritual through thoughtful design, sustainable practices, and education.
While we legally operate a business in the cannabis-adjacent space, people (predominately Black) continue to be incarcerated for small weed-related crimes.

The stigma and criminalization of cannabis is largely due to its racist roots, dating back to the early 1900s. To obtain a better understanding, we recommend reading this article and watching the documentary Grass is Greener on Netflix. These resources will help you gain a clearer view of the racially-motivated practices politicians employed in order to control and incarcerate BIPOC. The racist ideologies and actions of long-deceased politicians still shape our cultural mindset surrounding the cannabis plant today.

We feel it is necessary for all cannabis and cannabis-adjacent businesses to acknowledge and operate with social justice at the forefront.

At Wandering Bud, we will continue to...

Wandering Bud 'Edge' Icon in Green Glass color

Promote the education of cannabis through our social media and email platforms.

Wandering Bud 'Bridge' Icon in Green Glass color

Support the BIPOC community by collaborating, contracting, and hiring to our team whenever possible.

As we continue to further our own knowledge about social justice in the cannabis space, we encourage you to do the same!
